Our Lightning Certificate can be purchased from our online store for any site covered by our European lightning detection network. It provides evidence, recognized by insurance companies and the legal system, that lightning activity has been detected within a 20 km radius of the chosen site of interest, whether it has touched the ground (cloud-to-ground) or not (intra-cloud). Where activity has been detected, the total number of lightning discharges is also provided, giving an indication of the severity of the thunderstorm.
This Lightning Certificate takes the form of a signed and stamped PDF report that can be downloaded immediately after purchasing online.
How does it work?
On the online purchase interface, choose your place of interest by entering the address or geographical coordinates.
Then select the start date of the period of interest and the duration of the analysis (24 h, 48 h or 72 h*).
You will then immediately receive your Lightning Certificate in PDF format.
You can also access the invoice immediately from your Subscriber Area (‘My online purchases’ section).
If a more detailed analysis is required (detailed lightning data, different radius or period, etc.), our Lightning Data Surveys are available for purchase online or by contacting our sales department.
*Please note! The analysis period for the Lightning Certificate covers a fixed daily time slot, from midnight to midnight.
